Past- “You told him you wanted to spread the wealth around.”

Present- “Nobody likes taxes.”

Future- “We ought to put our homeowners first.”


OBAMA

Past- “I think everybody understands at this point that we are experiencing the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.”

Present- “In fact, independent studies have looked at our respective plans and have concluded that I provided three times the amount of tax relief to middle-class families than Senator McCain does.”

Future- “I also want to give them additional tax breaks, because they are the drivers of the economy.”
